UPMF Professor

Jacques Fontanel is Professor of economics at UPMF University, Grenoble. He is Vic- President of this University since 2002, in charge of International Relations. Former Dean of the Economic Faculty, he is also Director of the EIG Master (10 specialities) and of the research laboratory CREPPEM. Jacques Fontanel is world known expert in defence and security issues, international relations, international and development economics, topics on which he published hundreds of books and papers. He published recently Géoéconomie des jeux olympiques (L'Harmattan, 2009), La guerre est-elle une bonne affaire ? (L'Harmattan, 2008). Jacques Fontanel worked as consultant for the UN, the UNIDIR, the NATO, the EC, the French MFA ; he is Chairman of the French section of ECCAR (Economists against Arms Race). Within the SICP course, Jacques Fontanel is lecturing on “Globalisation, development, transition and the international donors”.

Grigorios Kontzoglou is Project Manager at the Delegation of the European Commission to Ukraine, in the Operational Section - Economic, Private Sector and Trade Development, Innovation sector, SME development and financing. His basic higher education was devoted to economics. Then, from 1986 until 1998 he worked as consultant in market analysis, regional development, feasibility studies and business plans, especially for SMEs including incubators in Greece, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Russia, Bulgaria and Romania. After 1998 Mr Kontzoglou started working within EC projects as Tacis adviser for SME development and in several INTERREG projects. He worked as Team Leader in Ukraine and fYRMacedonia, and was Project Manager for the DIF of the EBRD for Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania and FYROM. In the SICP course Grigorios Kontzoglou is teaching the donor's side of international projects : coordination, programming, design, attribution and follow-up of projects.
